New Genealogy Class – “Using Land Records in Genealogy Research” – February 20, 2023, 7:00 p.m. at the Montgomery Museum (4 E. Main St.) in Christiansburg.

Land records are a valuable genealogy resource. Deeds not only reveal where a person lived, but may also include names and relationships of family members as well as information about the financial status of the landowner. Learn how to locate and understand land records and how to use them in your research.

Introduction to Genealogy Class

I am excited to begin a new series of genealogy classes to be offered monthly at the Montgomery Museum of Art and History. Classes will be held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The first class will be Introduction to Genealogy: Building Your Family Tree.

Date: September 20, 2022

Time: 7:00-8:30

Location: Montgomery Museum of Art and History, 4 E. Main St., Christiansburg, VA 24073

Cost: $10
